Easy peasey chocolate puddings with toffee sauce

A really Easydessert that is popular with kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

4 large chocolate muffins
50g WHITWORTHS LIGHT SOFT BROWN SUGAR
50g butter
75ml double cream
WHITWORTHS TWIST AND SPRINKLE ICING SUGAR for dusting.

Preparation method

Break the muffins into large chunks and divide between the ramekins or place into one serving dish.

Place the WHITWORTHS LIGHT SOFT BROWN SUGAR, butter and cream in a small pan and gently heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes, turn off the heat and set aside to cool for 4-5 minutes.

Place the ramekins/dish in the microwave and heat the muffins for 40 seconds or until the muffins have warmed through. Pour the sauce over the muffin mixture and serve with ice cream. Decorate with WHITWORTHS TWIST AND SPRINKLE ICING SUGAR.

Top tips

For a twist, why not add a handful of sultanas, or chopped nuts to the muffins before heating.

For an adult treat add a sprinkling of rock salt to the toffee sauce.

The sauce is delicious served poured over your favourite ice cream!
